Paraguay is expanding its meat export markets, with plans to start commercial operations in Singapore, the Philippines, and Mexico in the first half of the year. The country has already started exporting to the United States and Canada. It also expects to start exporting to South Korea and the Philippines in 2024. Additionally, Paraguay will benefit from a quota with a preferential tariff for chilled and frozen meat through the Mercosur free trade agreement with the European Union. However, progress with exporting to Japan has been slow.
