A new factory in Paraná, opening on June 6th, will produce 300 thousand tons of malt annually, increasing the state's total production to 660 thousand tons per year, making it Brazil's largest malt producer. Funded by a R$1.6 billion investment from six cooperatives, the factory is expected to generate R$1 billion in annual revenue and create 150 direct and 3,000 indirect jobs. It will require 300 thousand tons of barley annually, with potential imports from Uruguay and Argentina. The facility adheres to high environmental standards, utilizing clean energy and advanced water treatment processes.
