Gürsu Agricultural Chamber President Kamil Dönmez noted that Gürsu Plain is normally known for pear production and predominantly cultivates this product, adding that peach production is also significant. Explaining that Gürsu typically produces an average of 18-20 thousand tons of peaches and nectarines annually, Dönmez said this year's crop is expected to be around 13-14 thousand tons due to frost damage, and noted that the harvest and prices are going well for farmers.
