Russian fishermen have produced 175.8 thousand tons of ivasi, a 73% increase compared to the previous year. The mackerel catch reached 8 thousand tons. The recommended catch for sardines, mackerel, and saury in the Kuril waters of the exclusive economic zone is 485 thousand tons, 250 thousand tons, and 90 thousand tons, respectively. These fish species are not only rich in healthy fats and microelements but also used in the production of canned food and preserves, making them popular and widely available fish products in Russia.
