Soybean planting in Mato Grosso is virtually complete. The latest report from Imea indicates that about 99% of the area has already been sown, but, according to Lucas Beber, president of Aprosoja MT, this number hides challenges faced in the field. Beber stresses that many municipalities still record replanting, a reflection of the irregular behavior of the rains. “In Nova Xavantina, for example, a producer had not yet managed to start planting. He tried to sow in early November, but had to redo the operation and is now waiting for new precipitation, as the volume of rain was not sufficient to guarantee good germination,” explains the president.
