The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) reported that artichokes, raw cotton, and paddy rice were the agricultural products that saw the most growth in production in the first four months of the year in Peru. Artichokes experienced a 5% increase in volume and 8% increase in value, largely due to better international prices. Raw cotton production grew 17.1% due to higher demand from the textile industry, while paddy rice production increased 11.3% thanks to increased access to water resources and better farm prices.
