(Agraria.pe) The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI), through the National Service of Agrarian Health (SENASA), is intensifying efforts with international authorities to reactivate and expand Peruvian poultry exports, after the country regained its status as a territory free of avian influenza. Currently, Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, and Panama are advancing in the updating and accreditation of exporting plants, which will allow consumers in these destinations to access poultry products recognized for high sanitary standards again. The goal is that, by the end of 2025, these markets will authorize the entry of Peruvian poultry meat. The Asian market is also a priority for the national poultry industry. SENASA is already negotiating sanitary protocols with China, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Japan, and Singapore.
