In July of the same year, Peruvian strawberry exports saw a significant decrease, with a total weight of 717 tons and a value of US$ 983,000, marking a 57% drop in volume and a 62% decrease in value compared to July of the previous year. The average price per kilogram was US$ 1.37, a 12% decrease, and the export destinations expanded from nine to eleven. The United States was the leading consumer, accounting for 61% of the exports, followed by Canada and Panama. Frozen strawberries made up 57% of the exports, while the rest were processed strawberries. The exports were primarily handled by Multifoods S.A.C., Virú S.A.C., and Mebol S.A.C., and were shipped through APM Terminals, DP World, and Salaverry.
