In 2023, Peru emerged as the second largest exporter of fresh fruits to the United States, contributing 12% of the total US imports with a value of US$ 2,277 million. The country was the leading supplier of table grapes and blueberries to the US, with 1,049 Peruvian companies exporting agricultural and agro-industrial foods. Despite challenges, Peru's total exports increased by 1.1% to exceed US$ 64 billion, largely driven by mining shipments and agricultural products. However, adherence to the US Food and Drug Administration's health regulations is crucial for maintaining these export levels.
