Peru's grape exports have surged by 40% in the first quarter of the 2023-2024 campaign, reaching US$ 1,058 million, a significant increase from the same period in the previous year. This growth is due to earlier harvests caused by climate change and a rise in demand from Asian countries, especially during the Chinese New Year. Despite exporting over 50 grape varieties, the US remains Peru's primary market. The industry's future strategies include disease surveillance, market exploration, and enhancing health standards in other countries.
