In March 2024, Peruvian pineapple exports saw a remarkable increase of +158% from the previous year, reaching 556 tons. The United States emerged as the leading consumer, accounting for 86.5% of these exports. Other significant markets included Costa Rica, Chile, Spain, and Canada. The majority of these exports were processed pineapples, making up 82.5% of the total, with the remainder comprising frozen, fresh, juice, and dried forms. Gandules Inc. S.A.C. was the top exporter, contributing to 55.1% of the total exports, followed by notable companies such as Processing Laran S.A.C., Itaw Cargo S.A.C., Interglobo Perú S.A.C., and Andes Logistics del Perú S.A.C.
