In April, strawberry exports from Peru experienced a significant decline, with a drop of 75.6% in volume and 75.2% in value, totaling 625 tons worth US$ 1.1 million. The United States was the leading importer, accounting for 40% of the total value, followed by Canada and Japan. The exported strawberries were predominantly processed into various products, contributing to 78% of the total value, while frozen strawberries made up 22% of the value. Mebol S.A.C. emerged as the leading exporter, contributing notably to the volume and value of the exports.
