By Denise Luna and Gabriela da Cunha Rio, 10/08/2025 - The president of Petrobras, Magda Chambriard, recently emphasized that the investment package for the State of Bahia includes the resumption of activities at the São Roque Shipyard, located in Maragogipe, for the decommissioning of platforms. “We have a physical limitation to decommission our platforms and we have the São Roque yard in Bahia that can accommodate two large platforms. “We are going to decommission US$ 2.5 billion worth of platforms, and two should go to São Roque. Adding São Roque optimizes Petrobras’ business with underutilized facilities,” she stressed. In addition to the decommissioning, the executive pointed out that the construction of six support boats at the Enseada Shipyard, in Maragogipe, will generate 5,000 direct and indirect jobs.
