(Imsil=Yonhap News) On the 10th, a farmer is harvesting full cabbages in a cabbage field in Sindeok-myeon, Imsil-gun, North Jeolla Province.
Cabbages grown in Sindeok-myeon, Imsil-gun, are popular among consumers due to their good taste, texture, and fullness caused by the large daily temperature difference.
Imsil-gun will hold the "10th Crispy Kimchi Festival" for three days starting from the 21st at the Cheese Theme Park.
The festival will include kimchi demonstrations, a singing contest with souvenirs, and a food booth selling a set of suyuk, rice, kimchi, and soup for 10,000 won.
Only clean agricultural products such as red pepper powder, pickled cabbage, radish, ginger, and onion directly grown by local farms will be used in the festival.
County Mayor Sim Min said, "We will do our best to meet consumer satisfaction and expectations through the excellent agricultural products of clean Imsil, and to make it a joyful and precious kimchi experience with family."
