Muğla, a region in Turkey known for its pine honey production, has seen a boost in honey yield due to forest fires and the transplantation of poşnil beetles. The greening of burned areas and the creation of 'honey forests' have contributed to a significant increase in honey production, with over 17 thousand tons harvested this year. Despite these challenges, low prices and issues with marketing and fake honey persist. The Muğla Beekeepers Association is hopeful with the Ministry's action against adulterated honey and is working towards providing consumers with authentic honey.
