Brazil's pistachio imports hit a record high of US$8.8 million in 2023, marking a 97% increase from the previous year, as per a survey by Vixtra. The United States emerged as the primary exporter, contributing 77.7% of the exports, followed by Argentina and Iran. The surge in imports is linked to the rising use of pistachios in various recipes. This trend is predicted to persist in 2024, propelled by festive occasions like Easter.
