More than 65 cattle farmers from the province of Ayabaca will improve their bovine production thanks to the artificial insemination program run by the Agrarian Agency of Ayabaca, which belongs to the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Piura (DRAP). The initiative, which is being implemented in the sectors of Suyupampa, La Laguna, Ayabaca, Aul, Huamba, and Yanchala, has allowed for the service of an average of 68 cows in natural heat, promoting the genetic improvement of cattle with high-performance breeds in milk, meat, and dual-purpose, such as Angus, Fleckvieh, German Brown, German Swiss, Bondelier, and Brahman. The work is carried out in coordination with the Sub-management of Agricultural Development and Environment of the Provincial Municipality of Ayabaca, whose technicians, along with the DRAP team, provide direct technical assistance in the cattle farming areas.
