Turkey's pomegranate exports reached a record high of over $126 million in 2020, a 125% increase in the past decade, with Russia being the leading importer. The country exported to 75 countries, and the quality and efficiency of pomegranates have been commended. The pandemic also played a role in the increase in demand. If climate change does not affect the yields negatively, pomegranate exports are expected to increase in 2021.
