[Korea Farmers' News Agency Reporter Ahn Hyeong-jun] Amid the government's announcement of the 'African Swine Fever Eradication Roadmap' and the 'Improved Swine Wasting Disease Prevention and Management Plan' for sustainable development and productivity enhancement of the Korean pork industry, the pork industry has evaluated these measures as realistic and field-centered, with active reflection of farmers' opinions. The Korea Pork Producers Association (President Lee Ki-hong) issued a statement expressing its welcome of the 'African Swine Fever Eradication Roadmap' and the 'Improved Swine Wasting Disease Prevention and Management Plan' presented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs last Sunday. The core of the government's announced measures is to achieve the status of a CSF-free country by 2023 and the prevention of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea (PED).
