Port of Paranaguá is granted to Consórcio Canal Galheta Dragagem

The Canal Galheta Dredging Consortium (CCGD) won the concession auction for the access channel to the Port of Paranaguá (PR), held on Wednesday afternoon (22) at B3, the São Paulo stock exchange. The Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, and the governor of Paraná, Ratinho Júnior, were in São Paulo to follow the auction. The company offered a 12.63% discount on the reference tariff for the auction, the maximum value stipulated. After a live-voice bidding war of 18 bids, the consortium emerged victorious with an offer of R$ 276 million, beating three competitors. The discount on the reference tariff was one of the criteria for determining the winning bid.
