In 2021, Turkey's white meat exports saw a significant increase of 54.2 percent compared to the previous year, reaching a value of 894 million dollars. The country's white meat production increased by around 5 percent from the previous year, with 98 percent of the production being chicken and 2 percent being turkey meat. The sector exported 632 thousand tons of meat to 93 countries, with Iraq being the largest market, accounting for nearly half of the exports. The sector is looking for new markets to further increase its exports.
