Preliminary results of seasonal fieldwork were discussed at the operational headquarters in the Government of Russia.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a meeting on the progress of seasonal field work. The event was attended by the Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut, representatives of relevant departments and organizations, as well as heads of Russian regions. "Throughout the season, despite weather cataclysms, the yield of major crops exceeded last year's. This concerns the grain and oilseed groups, sugar beets, and potatoes. We can confidently say that the grain harvest of the current year will be one of the most significant in the recent history of our country," said Dmitry Patrushev. The harvest of the new crop is now being completed. The vice-premier reported that the current volume of grain in bunker weight exceeds 145 million tons.
