Prices for red caviar will be reduced in Russia

The rich catch of this year will allow to reduce the prices for red caviar and fish, as well as to cover all the needs of the domestic market of Russia, in 2021 it was possible to catch half a million tons of fish, which is 1.8 times higher than last year's figures, but the production of black caviar has decreased. Vasily Sokolov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries, told a TASS correspondent about this at the IV International Fisheries Forum. “When last year they caught less than in previous years (about 380 thousand tons), the mood began that caviar would become expensive, it would not be, especially this spring. But in the current fishing season, half a million tons have already been caught - this is a very good indicator, already 1.8 times more than last year.
