As of September 29, Ukraine exported 235 thousand tons of barley. Despite the lack of supplies to China, the export pace and barley prices were supported by a tender in Turkey. This is reported by the analytical department of the agricultural cooperative PUSК, created within the framework of VAR. "Last week, Turkey's state purchasing company announced a tender for 255 thousand tons of barley. This factor became the main driver of the market, ensuring a temporary rise in prices. Currently, the conditional prices for Ukrainian barley are $215–217 per ton, or 10,150–10,250 UAH/t at the ports. On the domestic market, there is almost no support for prices, as barley remains more expensive than other feed crops," analysts note.
