Brazil: Production in the 2020/21 crop is a record in Rondônia

The production of grains in Rondônia closes the 2020/21 cycle, estimated at 2.59 million tons. The volume is 8% higher than the past harvest, representing 193,000 more tons harvested, reaching a new record for the state. This good result is influenced by the 9.1% increase in the planted area, reaching 657.3 thousand hectares. The average yield was close to the previous season, showing a slight decrease of 1% due to the weather conditions observed in the current crop. A product with the greatest economic expression in the state, soy is planted in the southern region. Oilseed production registered a growth of 11.5%, being estimated at 1.37 million tons. The larger cultivated area offset the drop in productivity recorded in grain crops. While the first grew 13.8%, the second index registered a 2.1% decline.
