Production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in the Moscow region increased by 3.1%

According to Moscowstat, from January to September 2025, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight in agricultural organizations of the Moscow region amounted to 229.29 thousand tons. This is 3.1% more than in the same period the previous year. As specified by the "Center for Agroanalysis," the largest volume was for poultry - 167.44 thousand tons (+3.5% compared to the level of 2024). The production of sheep and goats showed the most positive dynamics at 31.9% with 0.53 thousand tons. Pork production increased by 4.8% and amounted to 45.46 thousand tons. The production of cattle amounted to 15.71 thousand tons (-5.6% from the level of 2024). In agricultural organizations of the Moscow region, about 59.6 million eggs were produced over 9 months with an average egg production of a laying hen at 164 eggs. The gross milk yield amounted to 457.15 thousand tons. Milk yield per cow reached an average of 7,100 kg, which is 8.1% higher than last year's figure. ...
