Province opened the Bay in Argentina but the fishing harvest has not finished

Although the resolution has not yet been published in the Official Gazette, the Province of Buenos Aires, through the Ministry of Agrarian Development, decided on July 10 to enable the internal waters of the Río de la Plata for corvina fishing after the end of the sampling of landings that began at the end of May and lasted until last month as a result of bad weather that prevented the normal development of the 36 vessels authorized to fish in the Samborombón Bay. Bad weather, especially strong winds from the south and southeast, remains over the fishing area, preventing the coastal fleet that operates from Mar del Plata from finding regularity in operations. By operating from closer ports, such as Lavalle and Ensenada, the artisanal fleet, from the roadstead/ría, can take advantage of the small windows that open up with less adverse weather conditions.
