Embrapa, a Brazilian agricultural research organization, is partnering with the City Hall of Macapá and Sebrae to enhance açaí production in quilombola communities in Santo Antônio da Pedreira using its technology. This technology aims to increase production and productivity by preserving forest diversity and boosting producer income. The roundtable will introduce Embrapa's minimal impact management technology and the new açaí palm cultivar, BRS Pai d’Égua, which balances annual production. This initiative is part of the Municipal Committee of the Açaí Production Chain of Macapá, which includes representatives from various local government agencies, producers, and educational institutions, aiming to address issues in the production, consumption, sale, and export of açaí.
