European Commission continues to increase average yield of Romanian rapeseed to a new all-time high (3.16 mt/ha). Together with record seeded area (788 th ha) the production in 2025 is seen now at 2.49 MMT. After the difficult seeding campaign, situation for the crop 2026 is getting better in Romania. Some southern farmers risked and seeded rapeseed in the dry soil, using special technologies. Recent rains have improved the situation for crop development, apart from the areas where rains were particularly torrential.
