Rancher's Day: Activity Generates Jobs and Moves R$ 900 Billion Annually

This Tuesday (15) is Livestock Farmer's Day. The date was established in 2008 through Law No. 11,716, and seeks to honor professionals who work with management, feeding, and care of animals in different areas involving livestock, such as poultry farming, beef and dairy cattle farming, pig farming, and sheep farming. Livestock farming in Brazil began in the 16th century, with the arrival of the first cattle brought by Portuguese colonizers. Since then, the sector has grown significantly, evolving from a rudimentary activity to one of the most technological and productive in the world.
