The volume of production of mineral fertilizers and agrochemicals in Russia is growing. According to forecasts by the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers (RAPU), the production of all types of fertilizers in the country in 2025 will grow to 65 million tons from a record 63 million tons the year before. The country ranks second in the production of mineral fertilizers in the world after China, while being the largest exporter with a share of the global market of 18%. Russian producers of plant protection chemicals have also made great progress: since 2014, the share of their production in the domestic market has increased from 38 to 70%, says Deputy Executive Director of the Russian Union of Producers of Plant Protection Chemicals, Viktor Grigoriev.
