The article provides an analysis of Georgia's fruit production, revealing an 18% increase in the harvest of perennial crops in 2019 compared to the 2016-2018 average, despite some setbacks like the marble bug pest. Notably, the production of several fruits such as plum, lemon, pear, and peach experienced a decline, while nuts and citrus fruits saw growth. The most significant increase was in grape production (45%), followed by raspberries (doubled in 2019) and walnuts (57%), with walnut exports surging tenfold. The expansion in walnut cultivation, with the total area of modern walnut orchards surpassing 3,000 hectares, promises to boost production further in the coming years.
