The European Union's raspberry production has been affected by the frosty spring of 2021, with decreased production in Poland, Spain, and especially Hungary, where the area under fruit cultivation failed to reach 200 hectares and domestically grown raspberries ran out in mid-July. Serbia is the continent's largest raspberry producer. Un favorable weather conditions have hindered the ripening of raspberries in Poland, and there has been a decrease in production in Spain. Imports of fresh raspberries from Morocco have also declined. Hungary has seen a steady decline in the area under raspberry cultivation since the turn of the millennium.
