Turkey: Record breaking chicken meat production

According to the information compiled from the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute, chicken meat production followed a fluctuating course in 2021. While 173 thousand 290 tons of chicken meat was produced in January, this figure increased to 196 thousand 963 tons in March, 198 thousand 817 tons in September and 206 thousand 677 tons in December. The previous record was broken in 2018. Thus, 2 million 245 thousand 770 tons of chicken meat was produced in Turkey last year. Looking at the historical course of chicken meat production, it was seen that this data was the highest level of all time. The previous record was broken in 2018.
