Paraguay: Record shipment of pork products until September

Until the ninth month, 5,125 tons of pork products (pork and by-products) were exported for USD 12.8 million, an increase of 148% in quantity and 216% in foreign currency, compared to the same period in 2022, when 2,060 tons were sent by USD 4 million. The best scenario was the result of the behavior of the international market. Taiwan (54%), Uruguay (28%), Georgia (15%), Brazil (2%) and Angola (1%) stood out at the end of September as the main destinations for Paraguayan products. At the end of September 2021, Paraguay exported 3,138 tons of pork products for USD 6.4 million, while during the third quarter of 2020 and 2019, USD 5.2 million entered for 2,493 tons shipped and USD 5.6 million for 2,187 tons exported. . Throughout the first nine months of 2018, USD 8.9 million was generated from shipments of 3,891 tons.
