Following a case of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Saga Prefecture on November 25, 2021, discussions were held with export partner countries and regions leading to an agreement with the authorities of the United States, Vietnam, and Macau to resume exports of poultry-derived products from Saga Prefecture. This has resulted in the resumption of the issuance of export quarantine certificates necessary for exports to these countries. The export amount from January to October 2023 totaled 2.1 billion yen for chicken meat and 5.7 billion yen for chicken eggs, with specific amounts for Vietnam, Macau, and the United States.
