REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Efforts to enhance the independence of farmers while strengthening the position of local varieties are being continuously accelerated. One such effort is by encouraging farmers to use KoHeA+MF organic fertilizer. The Community Service Team from the university introduced the use of this fertilizer through a chili farmer empowerment program in Jorong Parumpung, Nagari Koto Baru Simalanggang, Payakumbuh District, Limapuluh Kota Regency. The program, funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology in 2025 through the Community-Based Empowerment scheme, is led by researcher Trisia Wulantika, along with members Yun Sondang and Wiwik Hardaningsih. All three are from the PKM BIMA Team of the Seed Technology Study Program, State Polytechnic of Payakumbuh.
