A meeting was held by the table grape contact group, which includes France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain, in Avignon, France, to discuss the forecasts for the upcoming grape harvest season. The forecasts indicate a normal and good season, but weather conditions could influence. Spain is expected to harvest 300,000 tonnes of table grapes, with the Muricia region being the primary producer. The group discussed the issue of the decreasing availability of phytosanitary products, which is a major concern for pest management and control. A joint study will be conducted to address this problem. The FEPEX proposal for health product authorizations was also accepted and will be implemented at the regional level. The group will hold its next meeting in Portugal.
