Bulgaria: Retail lamb has risen in price by more than 8% in a year, and for breeders by 0.1%

By 8.4%, the price of retail lamb has risen on an annual basis. The last price announced by the Ministry of Agriculture with the source SAPI is from April 10 - an average of BGN 25.27 per kilogram. At the same time, the purchase price of lambs (live weight) is BGN 11.11/kg. It is only 0.1 percent higher than last year. The biggest increase was in wholesale lamb. It costs BGN 25.93, and its annual growth is 9.2%. Lamb prices increased by both monthly and weekly baht. It should be noted that the purchase price of live lambs did not move for a week, but for the month it was increased by 0.1%. The difference between the weekly prices of classified meat from light lambs (up to 13 kg) in Bulgaria and in the EU is significant. In our country, the price exceeds 1,040 euros per 100 kg as of April 1, while the average price in the EU is around 810 euros per 100 kg.
