Rice farmers of Seville: "good harvest prospects," but with concern about prices

Eduardo Vera, managing director of the Seville Rice Growers' Federation, spoke about the campaign in Andalusia. He assured in the latest broadcast of AGROPOPULAR -October 4th- that in Cádiz they are beginning the harvests and have very good prospects for the crop, despite the high temperatures throughout the summer months. However, there is concern about the prices, as several factors come together in this campaign: on the one hand, the high global productions, not only of rice, but in general of almost all cereals. On the other hand, there is international instability due to all the existing conflicts, such as the imposition of tariffs by the United States on countries like Thailand or India, (which are seeking other markets, in this case Europe).
