Representatives from the rice sector in Rio Grande do Sul met with Governor Eduardo Leite at Palácio Piratini to present demands aimed at strengthening the commercialization and valuation of rice produced in the state. Among the requests are the adoption of the fiscal incentive model from Paraná and the emergency use of the CDO Tax. The meeting brought together representatives from the Federation of Rice Growers Associations of Rio Grande do Sul (Federarroz), Fearroz, Sindapel, Sindarroz, and Farsul, as well as deputies from the Parliamentary Front in Defense of the Rice Sector and authorities from the Civil House, the State Secretariat of Finance, and the Secretariat of Institutional Relations. Among the proposals presented is the so-called "copy and paste" of the ICMS from Paraná.
