Iğdır University continues its notable projects within the scope of specialization studies in the field of "high value-added agricultural products". Through studies conducted within the university, high value-added products are obtained from medicinal and aromatic plants grown in the Mount Ağrı environment and campus area. Iğdır University has begun producing various cosmetic products from rose plants within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A student project. Within the project, natural and healthy products such as rose soap, rose cream, rose cologne, rose water, and rose oil have been successfully produced. Iğdır University continues its work with the goal of contributing to regional development. Through intensive production and R&D activities continuing under the Application and Research Center (ALUM) within the university, support is provided to both students and the local population.
