Russia: The share of counterfeit products in tested sour cream does not exceed 5%

At the first stage of monitoring the quality of sour cream, products manufactured in 20 Russian regions, as well as in Belarus, were studied, according to a study by Roskachestvo. At the same time, the share of counterfeit products among the studied products was only 5%. At the same time, bacteria of the Escherichia coli group were found in sour cream of some brands. It is specified that the presence of bacteria was detected in sour cream "Kaluga Zorka" and "Kozelskaya" from the Kaluga region, "Milk house" from the Ivanovo region, also "Prosto Azbuka", produced in the Moscow region, and "Kirzhachsky dairy plant" from the Vladimir region. In addition, the results of the study showed that in sour cream of five brands - "Vyatskaya", "Marusya", "Native Nature" (all from the Moscow region), "Every day" (Udmurt Republic) and "Sour cream from Talitsa" (Sverdlovsk region) - contains an excessive amount of yeast.
