Somalia has received the second batch of wheat from Russia as part of free food aid, following the first batch sent in November last year. The aid is part of Russia's plans to supply grain to African and Asian countries in need, including Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Mali, the Central African Republic, Eritrea, Djibouti, Libya, Chad, Ethiopia, and Yemen. Somali officials have expressed gratitude to Russia for the assistance in ensuring food security.
