The article reports that the Eurasian Economic Union (EEC) has maintained the meat import quotas for Russia at the same level as 2020. The beef import quota is set at 570 thousand tons, including 40 thousand tons of chilled beef, and the poultry meat quota is set at 364 thousand tons. Russia introduced meat import quotas in 2003 and imposes a duty of 65% outside of the quota. The article also covers the quotas for other EEC countries, such as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, for beef, poultry, and pork imports, as well as the milk whey import quota for Russia and Armenia.
