Agricultural exports from Russia to Bahrain have increased 2.5-fold in physical terms and 2.3-fold in value terms since 2020. This year the indicator may maintain positive dynamics, with dried chickpeas and broiler meat serving as the main drivers. These forecasts were shared by the Sectoral Expertise Center (SEC) of Rosselkhozbank on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Only 10% of the Kingdom of Bahrain's territory is used for agriculture, while the population and, accordingly, food demand are growing annually, analysts noted. Since 2020, supplies of crop production to Bahrain have increased almost 10-fold, livestock production by 1.3 times. Another important category is oil and fat products, which Russia has increased supplies of by 1.5 times.
