Russia has seen a 3% increase in meat and finished meat product exports in the first seven months of 2021, totaling 351.2 thousand tons. This includes a 2.6-fold increase in beef exports, primarily to China, and a rise in pork exports, with Vietnam as the largest buyer. Horsemeat exports also surged, largely to Kazakhstan. Despite this increase, meat imports to Russia have decreased by 18%. The Rosselkhoznadzor and other departments are working to open new markets, currently supplying to about 50 countries, with plans to expand to more.
