Russia is among the leading milk producers

Victoria Kartashova, an expert at the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Agroanalytics Center” of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, provides current data on the dynamics of production and export of milk and dairy products in Russia. The country is actively increasing the volume of production and supply of these products abroad. Since 2017, Russia has recorded an annual increase in the production of raw milk. According to updated data from Rosstat, over the past six years (by 2022), the country has increased the production of these products (including cow, buffalo, goat, sheep, mare and camel milk) by 9.3%, to 33 million tons (Fig. 1) .
