Russia switches from exporting wheat to exporting flour to Senegal

For the first time, Russia would have exported wheat and rye flour in 2022 to Senegal as well as to Egypt, Uganda and Sri Lanka, reports the Russian agency Interfax. Volumes remain low, totaling all destinations combined 881,000 tonnes (t) of wheat and wheat and rye flour between January 1 and December 25, 2022, i.e. 3.5 times more than in the same period of 2021 ( data on supplies from the Eurasian Economic Union in January-October), according to figures from Agroexport of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
