Russian farmers have significantly increased the supply of lentils for export

Since the beginning of 2023, about 100 thousand tons of lentils have been exported through the trading ports of the Black and Azov Seas, using road and rail transport. The export was carried out under the control of specialists from the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Grain Quality Assessment Center”. The export volume increased 5 times compared to the same period in 2022, when about 19.2 thousand tons of lentils were exported. Specialists from the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Center for Grain Quality Assessment” examined more than 700 samples from export batches of lentils for safety and quality in accordance with the requirements of importing countries. The analysis was carried out according to such indicators as the content of toxic elements, mycotoxins, residual pesticides, radionuclides, GMOs, as well as color, smell, humidity, the presence of weeds and other parameters.
